A concept design for a new landmark tower development of 255 apartments (40affordable), a gym, café, office, retail and community space. The project includes significant improvements to the public realm and transport interchange.
The 106 metre tower was designed as a new gateway to Wembley, with a distinctive silhouette and elegant, slender proportions. Public facilities were positioned on the lower floors to create an active and interesting entrance to the building. An indoor winter garden was included for residents to enjoy all year round. Multi-faceted surfaces on the facade use a mix of solid and glass panels to reflect light and appear to change in colour and texture as you move around the building.
The mix of studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments and penthouses have high quality materials and detailing, with floor to ceiling windows giving dramatic views over London and the nearby Wembley Stadium. The public realm was enhanced with a new public space and major environmental improvements in front of the tower and along Wembley Brook and a neighbouring street. The transport interchange for trains, buses and bikes was upgraded to include new tree planting, seating, lighting, security, high quality landscaping and public art installations.
