26 November | Johanna Gibbons talk | Deep Ecology

Johanna will explore the deep ecology of the city, the roots of the philosophy, and how her practice and research deliver on the ground through design. She will describe the journey from paper strategy to sustainable community stewardship, within the challenging context of converging agendas of climate change and biodiversity agendas with urban intensification.

Johanna Gibbons RDI is a Landscape Architect and Fellow of the Landscape Institute. She is Founding Partner of J & L Gibbons and Founding Director of Social Enterprise, Landscape Learn. Jo was named a Royal Designer for Industry for her ‘pioneering and influential work combining design with activism, education, and professional practice’.
